The company on May 9 announced the pricing of its previously-announced public offering of 15.0 million shares of its common stock at a price of $14.00 per share, for net proceeds of approximately $201.1 million after underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses (or approximately $231.3 million if the underwriters’ option to purchase additional shares is exercised in full). FSP has granted the underwriters the option to purchase up to an additional 2.25 million shares of common stock. The offering is expected to close on May 15, 2013.
Yamana Gold Inc. (USA)(NYSE:AUY) shares dropped 2.31% to $11.84. The company, on April 30, said its first-quarter earnings fell 40% as metals prices declined, despite higher production at the Canada-based gold mining company. The company posted a profit of $102.1 million, or 14 cents a basic share, down from $170 million, or 23 cents a share, a year earlier. Adjusted per-share earnings decreased to 16 cents from 25 cents. Revenue slid 4.4% to $534.9 million. Analysts had forecast a per-share profit of 18 cents on revenue of $565 million.
Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (ADR)(NYSE:SID) shares dropped 3.95% to $3.65.The company announced that its Board of Directors on April 17, 2013 approved own capital interest payment in the amount of BRL 123 million to be done as from April 25, 2013, corresponding to the gross value of BRL 0.0843638 per share (net value of BRL 0.0717092 per share) to the shareholders on record as of April 1, 2013.
